Not all music is meant to be danced to, but all music is meant to be grooved to... All good music makes you want to do something... Whether it's dance, sing, shout, make love or all of the above, if it's good you will remember what you were doing and how it made you feel while doing it...In light of this, I have compiled a music groove that I think will, at the very least, make you "nod ya head"...

Although I am not from NYC I used to pass through quite a bit... The thing I used to love the most was the radio stations and the abundance of music that they played... I could always depend on them to play something that I had never heard before... Whether it be R & B, Hip Hop, Club, House or Reggae, NYC radio had the latest and the greatest...

This mix is dedicated to the memories of my trips to and through the city that never sleeps!

Mantronik was a producer in the early days of Hip Hop who, in my opinion, single handedly changed Hip Hop and R&B. His production skills and his beat making skills were head and shoulders above anyone else who was out at the time.

He experimented with reverb and editing in ways that, to that point, simply were not done. His influence could be felt throughout the music industry as other producers stepped up their collective "game".

The first few cuts are Mantronik produced and the rest are cuts that I felt were influenced by him in one way or another.
